Therapies I Offer
This involves talking about your feelings and thoughts while expressing and exploring your emotions and perceptions. This may facilitate an understanding of issues from the past or current emotional or psychological distress.
Relationship counselling (also known as couples counselling) is an effective form of talking therapy. Sessions take place in a safe space and look to improve communication and resolve issues within an intimate relationship.
Family therapy looks to help members of a family understand each other better, change negative behaviours and resolve conflicts. It is appropriate for all ages and can even be useful for individuals.
Integrative counselling takes the view that there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations. Counselling techniques are tailored to their individual needs and personal circumstances.
Mindfulness aims to reconnect us with ourselves to alleviate stress. It also helps us to feel more attuned with our emotions and generally more aware of ourselves both mentally and physically.
A humanistic approach that deals with the ways in which individuals perceive themselves consciously, rather than how a counsellor can interpret their unconscious thoughts or ideas.
An approach to psychotherapy based on solution-building rather than problem-solving. Acknowledging present problems and past causes, while exploring current resources and future hopes.

When you develop coping skills, learn how to let go of negativity, set boundaries, or deal with certain situations in a positive manner, you can finally start living that full life you’ve always pictured.
The therapeutic relationship between client and counsellor is an important one. A sense of connection and being understood by your counsellor helps you to speak openly and with a sense of freedom that you are truly being seen and heard.

Through a structured process, I can offer you professional help with any emotional, psychological or mental health problems.
As a first step you can call or email me to arrange a free telephone consultation.
Next step, we will complete an initial assessment. Together, we look at why you are seeking counselling and discuss the areas of your life that you wish to improve.
If after our initial meeting, we agree to work together, we can arrange regular session times. Weekly sessions are the most effective frequency.
Sessions are usually at the same time and on the same day each week.
